GICW recently completed a CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation survey, a 3-day process during which our operations and programs were evaluated. After successfully adhering to all 143 standards across 18 functions, we’re honored and humbled to have received zero recommendations. This achievement is reached by only 3% of participating organizations. ? Congratulations to the entire GICW team!

During the week of October 7th, Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette (GICW) had the honor of hosting a Mission-Integrated Retail Business Training (MIRBT) for Goodwill colleagues from across the U.S.

On Thursday, October 3rd, we proudly opened our new Washougal Goodwill store. GICW’s Board of Directors, Washougal Mayor David Stuebe, local officials, and the Washougal High School cheer team were all present to help celebrate the occasion. Store Manager Rita Gardner cut the ribbon at 8:00 a.m. Thank you to everyone involved for your dedication and hard work!

Our very own Paul Langdon, GICW's Senior Job Connection Program Manager, was featured on KOIN's On-Air Job Fair! Paul highlighted the wide variety of services and resources the Job Connection program provides to employees and community members.

Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette is built on sustainability. As one example, our energy program saved enough energy in 2023 to heat 29 homes for an entire year, saving 23,376 gallons of gas and avoiding 229 tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

In 2023, Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette collected over 208 million pounds of donated goods. Thank you to all our donors!

GICW's English as a Second Language (ESL), Career Center (CC), and Employee and Community Education (ECE) programs served almost 5,500 people during 2023.
