Most marketers use AI to create content for people. But we're starting to create content for AI. Creating messaging for humans is still needed (for now), but soon we'll be creating messaging for AI agents and assistants making decisions on our behalf. This week, Nelson Vanegas and I spoke to Dr. Sunny Shuoyang Zhang marketing class at the University of St. Thomas (TX). We shared how we use AI at Goodspero to create detailed buyer personas for our clients and the 8-step framework we use for prompting AI to help us create content that speaks to audiences at every stage of the (traditional) marketing funnel. But the future goes beyond that. With AI wearables and assistants anticipating our needs, suggesting solutions, and even making purchasing decisions for us, brands will have to start marketing our AI agents themselves. It’s a shift that’s coming faster than we think. A huge thank you to Sunny for inviting us. Anyone in her class is lucky to have such an engaging professor who brings in diverse perspectives. We also enjoyed learning from the other two guest speakers, Dr. Jennifer A. Carvajal Diaz from PepsiCo, whose passion for sustainability matches what our world needs today, and Thaija "Thai" Dickerson, from Kontrak IQ, an AI-powered contracts software startup, on the nuances of contracts and clauses. And shoutout to Jonathan G. for always coming through to capture photos and video! SO...Are you ready to play with AI? Is it changing the way you approach marketing yet? ??

He speaks multiple languages now—and it only took 2 hours. Except…he didn’t learn a single one of them. Imagine being able to communicate seamlessly with students, teams, and customers across the globe—without a language barrier. That’s exactly what we helped David Cook, Director of the #1-ranked UH Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship (WCE), achieve this week. ??? Using AI, our camera, and lighting, we created a digital twin of Dave—one that can share his ideas, connect with students, and communicate with parents and aspiring entrepreneurs in their native languages. Why? Because entrepreneurship is a universal language, and the Wolff Center’s empowering the next generation of leaders. With such a diverse student body—many of whom are Latinos, Asians, and other international students—this innovation ensures his message resonates far and wide. Not only can he speak multiple languages now, he can also build deeper trust, create stronger relationships, and make education and leadership truly global. This is only the beginning. Dave’s AI twin will debut next week in front of students—stay tuned for the big reveal! ?? AI isn’t replacing human connection—it’s amplifying it. What would you say (and to whom) if language was no longer a barrier?

Behind him are framed photos of past classes, a graphic art frame that says "Living the Dream", a hanging acoustic guitar, hats, snacks, a printer, plant, and his laptop, monitor, and other computer equipment on a desk behind him. On the desk in front of him is a glass jar of jellybeans, sticky notes, coasters, a mic, notebooks, and papers.

"I hate being on camera…" That’s something we hear all the time from leaders and CEOs. We get it. Talking through a lens is awkward Memorizing scripts is tough Reading from teleprompters can sound unnatural And there’s always something more pressing to do. Why does staying connected always have to involve a camera in your face? More stress. More takes. More time spent. For 20+ years we've been helping leadership teams feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera when we hit record. We’re not here to push you into being someone you’re not. And now there's a different way: using technology to let you shine, without the burnout or time suck. It’s not about perfection—it’s about being you—showing up, even when you don’t have the time or tools to do it in person. Here’s how: ??Record one professional video with us. ??We transform it into a custom AI avatar that looks and sounds like you. ??Want a new message? Just send us the script (or we help you write it!). ??Your avatar delivers your message, FAST, and in multiple languages. No churn. No burn. Just you at scale. Imagine this… ?? Training videos made in minutes. ?? Messages in any language for your global teams. ? Hours of your time saved while keeping a personal touch. We’ve already brought this to life with Nelson, our Co-Founder and COO. The “Nelson 2.0” you see here speaking English, Spanish, Japanese, German, and Italian, is just a sample of how your message can stay personal—even when delivered by AI. This isn’t about creating more noise. It’s about clarity. Efficiency. Connection. Because your messages need to be heard, without compromising who you are or how you work. Ready to create your AI twin to connect with your teams and audience? Drop a comment, send us a message, or give us a call. Let’s create something as unique as you are. ?? ?? #AIInnovation #DigitalTransformation #MultilingualCommunication

AI is revolutionizing marketing – for better or worse. Let’s make sure it’s for the better. Excited to speak at the Power of Women in Business Conference hosted by NAWBO-Houston on January 16, 2025! In my session, “Using AI to Personalize Marketing: How to Generate Relevant Content for Each Stage of the Customer Journey,” I’ll be sharing actionable insights on how businesses can leverage AI to create tailored content for more efficient marketing. Before diving into the “how,” it’s important to acknowledge the reality of AI’s impact on our world. While it’s an incredible tool for innovation and personalization, AI’s energy and resource consumption is significant. As business leaders, we have a responsibility to use this technology intentionally and mindfully – harnessing its benefits without ignoring its costs. Here’s a bit of what I’ll be covering – keeping responsible AI use in mind: ? How to use AI to produce specific, relevant content that resonates with a specific audience, from awareness to conversion. ? Practical tips on crafting prompts that yield personalized messages, to connect meaningfully with different audience segments. ? Actionable strategies to boost productivity, streamline workflows, and make personalized marketing achievable for businesses of any size. By focusing on quality over quantity, we can minimize wasteful outputs and the excess energy they require, reducing the unnecessary data processing that contributes to AI’s environmental footprint. Whether you’re a CEO, a marketing leader, or a business owner, this conference is a must-attend. And while NAWBO champions women entrepreneurs, this event is open to ALL leaders who want to harness the power of community and innovation to drive growth. (I heard that a group of men from Silver Fox Advisors attended the last conference. Would love to see more men and allies in attendance this year.) ?? Use my discount code “jb-sp-2025” to get a special rate when registering on Eventbrite: https://lnkd.in/gc-5UCBK. Let’s kick off 2025 with purpose and awareness. Who’s joining me in Houston? ;) P.S. How can we balance AI’s potential with a commitment to sustainability? Let’s start a mindful conversation in the comments. Goodspero ?? #PowerOfWomenConference #NAWBOHouston

Stories of success rarely start at the top. They’re built from raw determination and hard-won connections. We believe in the power of storytelling to illuminate transformative work. So this week, we were on the ground at the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council Expo, capturing real and raw moments for the Greater Houston Support Stack documentary series. HMSDC is doing vital work to bridge the gap between procurement professionals and minority-owned businesses. At the Expo, we witnessed these connections in real time: From interactive sessions equipping entrepreneurs with all the scoop to bid successfully, to the Spot Bid Fair, where contracts become real opportunities - on the spot! Thanks to Impact Hub Houston’s leadership and support, the Greater Houston Support Stack is breaking the silos and working together to reshape the entrepreneurial landscape for business owners. The Support Stack, funded by the Minority Business Development Agency - U.S. Department of Commerce Capital Readiness Program, is a hub of resources and a collective movement driving economic equity and business growth! ?? Impact Hub Houston ?? Houston Minority Supplier Development Council (HMSDC) ?? Houston Area Urban League (HAUL) ?? Houston Business Development, Inc. (HBDI) ?? United4Change Center U4C ?? With the support of The Pivot Partner, Michi Bruns Clay, and Goodspero Our role? To document the journeys of these small business owners and entrepreneurs and the orgs that support them at every stage, amplifying the voices and work of those at the heart of Houston’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. We’re inspired by the resilience and collaboration we see. We’re committed to sharing these stories to help spark even more impact. P.S. What’s a resource or support system that made a crucial difference in your entrepreneurial journey? Share with fellow founders in the comments below!

Something BIG just launched in Houston—entrepreneurs, this is for you. And entrepreneur support orgs...you too! This past Friday, at Impact Hub Houston’s 6th anniversary, the Greater Houston Support Stack was officially unveiled, an initiative funded by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). Impact Hub Houston, together with Support Stack partners: Houston Minority Supplier Development Council, Houston Area Urban League, Houston Business Development, Inc., and United4Change Center U4C, and supported by The Pivot Partner (Michi Bruns Clay) and Goodspero, are working to help underserved entrepreneurs access critical resources to build capacity, expand their networks, and secure funding. If you missed Friday's event, here's some of what was shared - in just the 1st year, the Greater Houston Support Stack has: ? Registered and served 585 entrepreneurs ? Certified or graduated 406 entrepreneurs ? Hosted 77 networking events ? Delivered 2,979 mentorship & tech assistance hours in English & Spanish ? Supported 159 pitches to capital providers ? Helped raise over $46MM in non-dilutive capital And more + things are only getting started. By 2027, the 4-year goals aim to: ? Support over 8,000 entrepreneurs: ? Certify and/or graduate 1,680 entrepreneurs through cohort programs ? Host 480 networking events ? Support 1,160 pitches to capital providers ? Help 1,600 businesses form or scale ? Connect them with $460MM in total capital raised This movement is reshaping the future of the entrepreneur ecosystem in Houston. There are so many amazing orgs supporting underrepresented founders and not enough people know about them or all the resources that are available. By working together and referring entrepreneurs to partner orgs, more founders will have access to ongoing resources, capital, and everything needed to start and grow their businesses at every stage in their journey. And at Goodspero, we're capturing and amplifying the transformational work of Impact Hub Houston and the Support Stack partners, while highlighting the journeys of diverse entrepreneurs they serve. With around 20% of U.S. small businesses failing in the 1st year and 50% by the 5th, Houston entrepreneurs face similar challenges, including access to capital and competition. Our goal is to showcase the resilience, support, and resources driving their success through a docuseries coming soon. ?? Entrepreneurs interested in support from the Greater Houston Support Stack can apply for assistance (see comments below). And if you’re part of an organization that supports entrepreneurs and is interested in receiving referrals, we invite you to join the Support Stack and collaborate with us!

We signed up for a pitch competition just 2 days before it started! Our pitch deck? Made the day before. Rehearsal time? Just 1 hour… in the car on the way to the event. And somehow, we placed 2nd! ?? But it wasn't just about the win. Here’s how the journey went: → Registered for the Latino Entrepreneurs Week pitch competition with no prep → Created our pitch deck from scratch on Canva (the night before!) → Prepared for a 90-second pitch, only to learn we needed a 30-second pitch, and if we made it to the finals, a 3-minute pitch → Walked outside for a few minutes to tweak the pitch, adjusted our slides on the spot, and hoped for the best → Delivered the 3-minute pitch right on the mark → Judges loved our chemistry on stage as co-founders (our first time pitching together!) → Walked away with 2nd place and some amazing feedback on how we can improve We also met incredible founders like Celzo Trejo from Hot Rod Pops, the 1st place winner. He networked like a pro—parked his branded popsicle truck right outside the venue and connected with 3 of the 5 judges before the event even started! ?? Our takeaway? Sometimes, it’s not about perfect preparation. It’s about showing up, being in the moment, and giving it your all. Is it scary? Absolutely. But that’s where the magic happens. Are you r?e?a?d?y? willing to jump in and make it happen? ??

Latino Entrepreneur Week is here—but how do we make the most of it? Because attending events alone doesn’t move the needle. This week's events, powered by EQUILIBERTY INC., brings together community leaders, business owners, and business champions. It’s a week full of connecting, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing—but what we've found is that the real opportunity lies in what we do next. Here’s how we make connections and resources work long after events end: 1. We capture the energy, film key moments, & turn them into informative video content that drives growth & engagement. Not for us - for everyone! 2. We keep conversations going, nurture new connections, and keep showing up beyond the event. 3. By sharing content consistently, we turn excitement into momentum and help keep audiences invested, connected, and informed. The key lesson we’ve learned? An event’s true power comes when its energy continues to grow. Excited about what’s happening during Latino Entrepreneur Week? Attend the sessions, meet new people, and keep the energy going! The video clips you're watching here of . Grace Rodriguez and Maria Vilma Duran were captured today at Impact Hub Houston for the Latino Entrepreneurs Path to the World Cup 2026 session. If you’re looking for inspiration or ideas on how to maximize the impact of events, let’s connect and chat about the sessions and opportunities!
