"There is a lot of money out there for impact founders if you are doing the real work and if you are willing to go the distance to get that money. Gross margin, trade spend [and] cash burn are the things that are going to make or break you. The more money you can get in gross margin, [then] you are going to inch toward profitability," Heather K. Terry. Discover more in this must-read article from FoodNavigator! Heather K. We're proud to have been part of the powerful conversations at #COP16, where collaboration and diverse voices came together to drive meaningful change ?? The incredible impact of bringing together farmers, business leaders, NGOs, academics, and community representatives is what will help us build a sustainable future ???? Be.blum JellyShot HowGood Erika Jaramillo Velilla Heather K. Terry Saida Abdala Pablo Restrepo Shafia Naima Abdala Gallego
Sustainability & Innovation Champion | Founder and CEO of Be.Blum | Empowering Communities and Protecting the Environment.
During #COP16, our Roots & Resilience and Regen House Party: Biodiversity Edition events highlighted the true power of connection. Beyond panels and talks, we witnessed the strength of uniting diverse voices: farmers, business leaders, NGOs, academics, and consultants, all working toward a sustainable future. These events showed us that impactful change comes from uniting different perspectives, each with its unique knowledge and strengths. When entrepreneurs meet with indigenous farmers, and when thought leaders sit at the same table with community representatives, we gain a richer understanding of where we come from and where we can go. COP 16 is more than a series of conferences; it’s a reminder that collaboration across sectors is essential to creating impactful, lasting change. Thank you to Be.blum, GoodSAM, PBC, JellyShot , and HowGood for helping bring these events to life, and to everyone who joined us. Together, we’re not just talking about sustainability, we’re building it, one connection at a time. Saida Abdala | Heather K. Every day, our commitment to prioritize biodiversity in our actions grows stronger. Together, we're not just making products, we're building resilient ecosystems and empowering smallholder farmers ???? Let's continue to champion regenerative practices and celebrate the diverse futures we're cultivating! ??
When you think about innovation, what comes to mind? Tech breakthroughs? New gadgets? The latest AI? Here’s a twist: Regenerative brands are innovating by bringing biodiversity to the forefront. From supporting more diverse grain rotations, to helping commercialize complex agroforestry systems, to reviving forgotten, tastier crop varieties… Regenerative product innovation creates markets that boost biodiversity. ?? Lil Bucks and PACHA are scaling products made with buckwheat which restores nutrients to soil and attracts diverse pollinators into the farm while adding more biodiversity to grain farms. ?? GoodSAM, PBC Foods, Sol Simple, Artisan Tropic, & Dr. Bronner's are building product portfolios that allow them to purchase “the full rotation” from smallholder agroforestry farmers - boosting on-farm income and increasing the ROI of diversity on farm. ?? Zack's Mighty uses once-forgotten Flint Corn as the base for its tortilla chips. Aside from producing tastier and healthier tortilla chips, they have also introduced more variety into the types of corn that we consume. By designing new products around the needs of regenerative growing systems, regenerative brands are fostering ecosystems that thrive on diversity and resilience.
