Our whole-person care models are customized for each member and treat not just the condition, but also underlying contributing factors and causes. Goodpath delivers care for MSK pain, behavioral health, digestive health, cancer survivorship, diabetes, weight management, and sleep.     March is National Sleep Awareness Month – Let’s Talk About Insomnia & CBT-I If you’ve ever struggled with falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early, you’re not alone. Chronic insomnia affects millions of people, meaning they struggle with sleep at least 3 nights per week for 3 months or more. Insomnia isn’t just about physically being able to sleep, it’s about thoughts and behaviors tied to sleep. That’s where Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) comes in. CBT-I is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps people "unlearn" the patterns that keep them awake. It works by: ?? Changing stressful, inaccurate thoughts about sleep ?? Adjusting habits that make insomnia worse ?? Developing relaxation techniques for better rest ?? Setting a structured sleep schedule At Goodpath, CBT-I alone is effective in addressing insomnia for 50% of our members, without relying on sleep medications or other interventions. It’s based on the same principles as general CBT and is considered the gold standard for long-term sleep improvement. Try the 4-7-8 breathing technique—inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, exhale for 8 seconds. This simple exercise can calm your mind and lower stress in just a few moments. 2?? Take a Digestive Walk: After your Thanksgiving feast, take a 15-20 minute walk. It aids digestion, balances blood sugar, and provides a peaceful moment to reflect on the day. 3??
