Stay ahead of winter temps and keep your vehicles running smoothly with this winter maintenance checklist: ✅ Battery: Check expiration dates and charge state. ✅ Diesel fuel: Prevent diesel fuel from "gelling" by using a blend with a high cetane rating and anti-gel additives. ✅ Cooling system: Inspect hoses, turn heater control valves on after engine cools and pressure test the coolant to make sure it’s at 15-18PSI. ✅ Fuel filter and water separator: Check water separator daily, drain fluid when full and replace filter as needed. ✅ Air dryer: Keep water out of brake lines by checking the air dryer and filter. ✅ Tire pressure: Use valve caps to prevent moisture and ice buildup in the valve cores. ✅ Draining air tanks: Ensure there is no water inside air tanks, even those in drains.
