We're eliminating the relationship gap that stands in the way of success for tech social entrepreneurs/diverse founders.

关于我们

No entrepreneur can succeed without a strong network of support. But because of the ways access and opportunity have traditionally been distributed, social entrepreneurs and diverse founders are less likely to know people from top colleges and companies than their counterparts. This means they have less robust networks to draw on for advice, customers, funding, and professional growth. We call this the Relationship Gap. Goodie Nation exists to eliminate the relationship gap that stands in the way of success for too many promising entrepreneurs, especially those who are people of color, women, or aren't located in coastal financial centers. By making sure that every entrepreneur, no matter their background or location, can access the relationships they need to thrive, we are building a more sustainable and prosperous future for all. Our super power is the ability to make the right connection at the right time, and we leverage our extensive network to create deep relationships that lead to revenue and funding, less stress, and better CEOs.

With inspiring insights from Nashlie Sephus, Ph.D., the night was all about building meaningful relationships between founders and the AWS team. At Goodie Nation, we believe access starts with the right connections. Every event like this helps bridge the Relationship Gap, creating more opportunities for innovators to grow and succeed. A Force Multiplier For Good + Community Builder + Convener | TEDx Speaker

?? As Goodie Nation features community builders this week, I want to shine a spotlight on heath creech (RIP). I knew him as Donell, and he put me onto the SXSW Advisory Board 10 years ago. He was one of the few people focused on creating access and opportunity for people of color (especially Black folks) at SXSW going back 10+ years. My first time at SXSW was 2013, and there was probably less than 10 events for Black people. Donell created places for us to gather and be celebrated with experiences like MVMT50. Fast forward to today, and there have been probably 100 events per year for Black people since 2019 alone. Sadly, Donell passed away recently (thanks to Rodney Sampson for informing me). And I bet that if you asked the current event organizers of SXSW events for Black folks the vast majority of them have never heard of him. They have no idea HOW opportunities and access were created for the masses. We cannot let the blood, sweat, and tears pioneers fade in the ether. We have to document those that laid the foundation. We have to honor them. And we must ensure future generations are grounded in the past. Here's to a unsung hero of Black tech ???. Read more about Donell https://lnkd.in/eHHR-U-s
