Completed last month, the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Domestic Terminal Interior Enhancements bring a fresh look to the 40-year-old North and South terminals. With new ceilings, LED lighting, and improved HVAC layouts, these updates enhance the experience of travelers in one of the world’s busiest airports. Dynamic wayfinding signage, thoughtfully placed at key circulation points, adds to the ease and flow within the terminal. Mercy Housing Southeast hosted their annual Power of Homes celebration last Thursday at the Georgia Power Headquarters and Goode Van Slyke Architecture (GVSA) is proud to say we helped sponsor this occasion. Attending this event has been a priority of GVSA’s for several years as it celebrates the achievements of our great client, Mercy Housing, and shows optimism for their conviction to providing homes to individuals and families that otherwise do not have access to healthy housing alternatives. Margo Jamison, jay leach, and Crystal Genter from GVSA also attended. It is always good to catch up with our friend and neighbor James Alexander, President, Mercy Housing SE, and we had the opportunity to listen to Mercy Housing CEO,?Ismael Guerrero, on Mercy’s expanding pursuits in housing. It was also rewarding to meet at the headquarters of another GVSA client, Georgia Power Company, who has a tradition of supporting the community and their headquarters is located immediately across the street from the transformative Atlanta Civic Center site which GVSA is also actively involved in as we finish up the first building in this master plan which is an affordable, senior housing project befitting the evening’s occasion.

GVSA is honored to have been part of the team that helped transform James Allen Jr. Place into a modern, welcoming community! This renovation not only refreshed the building’s facade and interiors but also added vibrant community spaces and vital amenities that enhance quality of life. Projects like this underscore our dedication to creating welcoming, lasting spaces that enhance communities across Atlanta and beyond.
