Good Shepherd Fairview Home participated in the Broome-Tioga 2024 Mentoring Day, an annual event held in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month which provides high school students with disabilities the opportunity to tour a business and learn about career opportunities. . Fairview Home hosted 4 students. These students enjoyed a comprehensive tour, exploring our different levels of care as well as the dietary, maintenance, education, and activities departments. They even got hands-on with some pumpkin painting alongside our wonderful residents—an activity that brought out their creativity and sparked some fantastic conversations! ????? . A big shoutout to these bright young minds for their curiosity and engagement. We loved having lunch together and discussing career opportunities within our fields. The Good Shepherd Communities Board of Directors gathered at the Village on Thursday to tour our highly anticipated renovation project! WH Lane, the construction firm leading the project, has greatly exceeded our expectations! . We look forward to the completed project which will showcase the commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to providing the highest quality of care and living experience for all of our residents! . This renovation project is a strategic investment in the future of our residents and our community. Each carefully designed space reflects our understanding of the evolving needs of seniors, incorporating the latest accessibility features and comfort-enhancing technologies. Board members were particularly impressed by the innovative communal areas, which will foster social connections and promote active lifestyles among our residents. .
