Meet Angelia H.! Currently a Treatment Foster Care Supervisor, Angelia has been with Good Shepherd for over nine years. Angelia says, “Being able to provide youth with a treatment home that they can feel safe, secure, loved, nurtured and valued in is so important.” What Angelia finds rewarding about her current position is seeing personal growth in a youth and a foster parent. She states that her experience working with Good Shepherd has been “nothing but amazing and such a great learning experience”. We are grateful for our compassionate coworkers like Angelia! #ccstloneministry #FamilyConnections

Connecting Children with Families and Keeping Families Connected
关于我们
The purpose of Good Shepherd Children & Family Services is to connect children with families and keep families connected by providing pregnancy and parenting support, foster care programs, and adoption services. Good Shepherd has been helping children and families for nearly 200 years, but you may know our work by other names. We merged to form Good Shepherd in 2006 from the four historic agencies of St. Joseph's Home & Family Services, Fr. Dunne's Home for Boys, Marian Hall/Villa Maria, and Catholic Services for Children & Youth, serving the poor, abandoned, abused, and neglected youth of the metropolitan St. Louis area and surrounding counties since 1836. Today, we continue the mission through four primary services: maternity care, foster care, expectant parent and pregnancy services, and adoption services.

Did you know: Missouri law gives a mother the right to choose private open adoption, as an alternative to her child entering the foster care system under Children’s Division? If you are concerned that your baby or child may be removed from your care and you desire to keep your child out of the foster care system, you can choose private open adoption. You can select an approved adoptive family, and you can continue to be involved in your child’s life. Call or text us anytime 314-724-8417 to speak with a compassionate specialist to learn more. You can have a choice and a voice. #ccstloneministry #FamilyConnections

“When you see a dandelion, do you see a wish or a weed? When you hear a child cry, do you hear a need or a demand? When you wash a sticky face, do you feel blessed or burdened? As parents, our perspective determines our response, and our response determines our children’s reality. So, let’s wish wishes, meet needs, and count blessings to make childhood a magical, peaceful, joy-filled reality for both our children and ourselves.”?-L.R. Knost Learn how you can become a foster parent, or help support foster families, by attending our next virtual Foster Care Info Session on March 25 from 6-8pm.
