25 Lives Touched This Winter Shelter Season! ???? During the coldest months of the year, our Winter Shelter provided warmth, safety, and nourishment to Ephrata neighbors who otherwise would have been sleeping in the cold. This season, we welcomed a total of 25 individuals (18 men, 7 women), offering them not just a warm bed and a hot meal, but also hope. Several have since taken the next step toward stability by transitioning into our Good Sam program, where they’ll have housing and continue receiving the support and resources they need to move forward. We are incredibly grateful to The Living Room Ephrata for opening their doors and hearts as our host site. Without their partnership, hospitality, and compassion, Winter Shelter wouldn't be possible. To our dedicated seasonal staff, volunteers, and meal donors—your kindness truly changed lives. Shoutout to these amazing students from the Phoenixville chapter of the Young Men and Women In Charge (YMWIC) Foundation, Inc.! ?? They spent their Saturday giving back by cleaning one of our Phoenixville houses AND putting together welcome baskets for participants entering the program. ?? When St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church gave families in their congregation $20 to “make the world a brighter place,” 3-year-old Della and her little brother George chose to help neighbors in need by donating to Good Sam. Their generosity reminds us that every act of kindness can make a big impact. We love our volunteers! ?? These students from Anchor Christian Academy helped us clean and organize our pantry, boutique, kids’ playroom, and offices AND helped prep a room for a new family by carting loads to the dumpster. ???? ?? Their hard work was a huge help to us, and we are so grateful!
