Little Cherry Disease (LCD) continues to put Pacific Northwest cherry orchards at risk, making early detection crucial for control. ?? This Good Fruit Grower article highlights an ongoing research project that Washington State University in collaboration with Ruff Country K9 LLC owner Jessica Kohntopp is exploring the use of trained detection dogs to identify trees infected with LCD pathogens.
