关于我们
Nuclear energy will be needed to reach ambitious climate goals, but we must first reconstruct the technology for a new era complete with modern, socially-grounded approaches. Based on our progressive values, we develop policies to do just that.

I am honored to be quoted in Senator Markey's press release on new legislation to establish an Office of Public Participation at the NRC. It's critical to ensure community voices have a seat in our nuclear regulatory body. Myself and my colleagues at Good Energy Collective would love to see this legislation get to the President's desk. https://lnkd.in/gxWYNFvb

Exciting progress in nuclear waste management! This week, Representatives Mike Levin (CA-49) and August Pfluger (TX-11) have introduced the bipartisan Nuclear Waste Administration Act of 2024, marking a significant step towards equitable siting for U.S. spent nuclear fuel. Our policy experts, Cleo Schroer and Julia Sweatman, shared their thoughts: "This bill builds on the core consent-based principles of the?Blue Ribbon Commission on America’s Nuclear Energy Future, integrates international best practices modeled by our allies abroad in Canada and Scandinavia, and aligns with what we’ve heard in our conversations with community members across the country. Most nuclear experts agree: a single-purpose, independent federal agency is the best solution for managing spent fuel in America in a way that centers equity and justice."

Last week, while on Capitol Hill, our team members Cleo Schroer and Julia Sweatman presented to the Paducah, KY Chamber of Commerce delegation about consent-based siting and coal-to-nuclear transitions.
