GOMaximo is a Gas & Energy industry educational working group for IBM Maximo users, including Health, Safety, and Environmental concerns (HSE). This end-user lead community, founded in 2009 is comprised of over 70 organizations and nearly 2,000 members. This exchange of information is designed to improve the knowledge, use, practices, and methods, to optimize the use of Maximo’s capabilities. The GOMaximo community includes users and vendors from all sectors of the Oil and Gas Industry including exploration, production, pipeline, transportation, petrochemical, biofuels, drilling contractors, and oilfield servicing.

Are you aware that there is an entire Training dedicated capability in Maximo for Oil & Gas and Maximo for HSE? #IBMMaximo #IBMMaximoOnG #IBMaximoHSE That’s right - with this you can manage the training and certifications profile of each user and/or vendor in your company. In training module you can: -Register all Training Courses/Modules that compose your company’s business requirements; -Define validation period for each training, and show whenever it’s expired for each user; -Record all training sessions and its participants; -Maintain a training profile for each user, containing all training performed by each individual, with all its details and valid/expired indication; -Under Certificates (Oil) you can define the training program necessary to achieve that certificate; -Under MOC (Oil) you can define all the new training that is necessary when planning changes within your company; -Under Permit and Certificate Types (Oil) you can list all the necessary training that needs to be performed to emit/maintain a permit or certificate, which can later be associated with a Permit to Work record, increasing worker safety and procedure compliance; -Under Crafts (Oil) you can define which trainings are required for each function; These are just the out-of-the-box functions. Maximo is very popular for being highly configurable and customizable, it would be a simple task to extend other areas to make use of Training module's benefits.
