Today, I'm stepping outside of my comfort zone to discuss a very sensitive subject: hair loss. Yes, even those who are often perceived as confident and self-assured face challenges that aren't always visible. Hair loss can impact not only our appearance but also our confidence and self-esteem. As we approach the end of Hair Loss Awareness Month, I'm pleased to feature #nioxin, a hair care brand that Blonde + Co has been working with to help those of us with thinning hair concerns through clinically proven formulas. In my case, I needed additional medical solutions (#minoxidil prescribed by a physician), and when combined with Nioxin haircare and Nutrafol supplements, my hair has completely (and I mean seriously big time) transformed over the past 12 months. I am finally liberated from having bad hair days 7 days a week! Let's spread awareness, share our success stories, and bring hope to those who are affected by it.

It's National CROWN Day! The CROWN Act (Creating a Respectful & Open World for Natural Hair) is a law that prohibits race-based hair discrimination of natural hair texture or protective hairstyles (braids, locs, twists) in professional and educational spaces. Since "going natural" in 2015, I made it my mission to show up in spaces authentically as myself, which included my natural, kinky, type 4 hair. I have continued to live out this mission as a professional working in a variety of industries including tech and beauty. Representation is more important than we may want to admit and I pride myself in being that representation for those who have experienced hair-based discrimination at school, in the workplace, and even here on LinkedIn.
