关于我们
We connect the dots between the best emerging innovations and the financial, social, and human capital to make them thrive. We exist for social innovators and are run by social innovators. We find smart people doing creative things, and we give them the tools to do them better. We identify gaps then support those on the first line of response. If holes remain, we incubate solutions. Across it all, we build networks to ensure that the strongest ideas have the best support systems.

Eight Los Angeles-area nonprofit organizations will receive a total of $200,000 in funding for non-partisan voter engagement work for the 2024 election, the Goldhirsh Foundation and its LA2050 initiative announced. These grants, selected and distributed by the Goldhirsh Foundation with generous support from The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation, are the latest additions to the annual LA2050 Grants Challenge. Now, 68 Los Angeles County impact organizations have received funding totaling more than $3 million, from a coalition of 10 foundations. The eight new grants went to: Homeboy Industries, Hacker Fund, CALIFORNIA IMMIGRANT POLICY CENTER (CIPC), Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), LA Forward Institute, LA Voice, PEOPLE ORGANIZED FOR WESTSIDE RENEWAL (POWER), and Innovate Public Schools. The leadership of Harlem Lacrosse – a past grantee of our LA2050 initiative –? approached us last year with a quandary: How to refine its approach to the corporate partnerships that help fund Harlem Lacrosse’s impactful work? We set out on a process to be of service to our past grantee; and by sharing their story and the results of their new efforts, keep the Goldhirsh Foundation and LA2050 social impact communities up to date. Our interviews with a variety of nonprofits and corporate funders to understand both sides of nonprofit-corporate partnerships surfaced several important learnings relevant to a broad swatch of leaders.?
