?? We had a very busy weekend!! Yesterday, we attended the Indy 500 Kidsfest to share our love of swim education with kids from all over Indy. ?? And today, we celebrated Mother's Day! We saw so many beautiful cards made for moms, and accompanied by carnations to top it off! ?? Happy Mother's Day!

February is American Heart Month, and not only is it a great reminder to check in with your local pediatrician for a new year check-up, but it's also a wonderful opportunity to prioritize heart health for the whole family! ??Pursuing a healthy heart doesn't have to be boring - in fact, you can have a lot of fun with it and get the whole family involved! Finding an exercise activity that you have passion for and pursuing it can help maintain a routine, get regular exercise, and help you bond with your family and friends. We love that our school is a place where everyone can feel welcome, included, and encouraged to just be themselves. In honor of National Pediatrician Day, we're teaming up with Goldfish's very own board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Molly, on some tips to keep your kiddos safer in and around the water. ?? As a brand, we're dedicated to helping raise happy, healthy kids, and we're so grateful for all the amazing pediatricians in our community that play such a key role in that. The new year is a wonderful time to set new goals, so we teamed up with Dr. Molly to create some tips to help kiddos with goal setting (and achieving)! 1. Remember it's your kid's goal. It's so tempting to try to choose a goal for our child, but learning how to set goals and achieve them only works if it's something you have chosen yourself. Let your kid rainstorm and choose their own goal! 2. Help set your child up for success. It can be tempting for little ones (adults too ??) to choose really big goals. Dr. Molly says it isn't about keeping things small, it's about taking those small steps to success! 3. Have them come up with a way to keep track of their progress. Dr. Molly says that empowering our kids to measure their progress will help them internalize the skills they need as they set goals going forward! 4. Empower them to set up rewards — frequently! Learning to reward ourselves (rather than always looking to others for pats on the back) is important. Help your child determine when they will reward themselves and how as they make progress. 5. Ask them how you can support them along the way. Build in family checkpoints to stay on, or get back on track, and Celebrate each other's progress!
