Golden Valley Bank partners with FHLBank San Francisco to Award Chico Action Housing Team a $100,000 Grant to provide safe, affordable housing for those in need. CHICO, Calif. – Golden Valley Bank (OTCCB: GVYB), in collaboration with the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco (FHLBank San Francisco), will deliver a $100,000 AHEAD Program grant to Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT). Golden Valley Bank applied for the grant in partnership with Chico Housing Action Team (CHAT). After a competitive selection process, CHAT was awarded the AHEAD Program grant to fund CHAT’s work to provide safe, affordable housing for those in need. “Golden Valley Bank is honored to partner with CHAT, who supports their commitment to our community through accessible housing programs,” said Laurie Kee, Chief Banking Officer of Golden Valley Bank. AHEAD Program grants enable FHLBank San Francisco members like Golden Valley Bank to give a critical boost to local economic development programs and projects that directly address the needs in low-to moderate-income communities. “This $100,000 grant for CHAT delivered in partnership with our member Golden Valley Bank will create access to vital services and support that can be life-changing for people in the Chico area enduring housing instability,” said Eric Cicourel, community investment officer for FHLBank San Francisco. “We’re proud that for 20 years and counting, the AHEAD Program continues to make a positive impact throughout communities that we serve.” CHAT was awarded the AHEAD Program as a part of a competitive process, which attracted more than 300 applications.
