Spring came early in Tomah and we're back in the field building the new material storage building at the VA. Not bad for a week's work. Kudos to O'Shea Construction and the Gold Wave team for making it happen!

We are nearing completion on our new Storage Building at Crown Hill National Cemetery and are very proud to be supporting the National Cemetery Association and their mission to honor our veterans' service and sacrifice to our Nation.

Gold Wave has started construction for our Seed Cold Storage Rooms Replacement project for the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Urbana, IL. We are demolishing two antiquated coolers and the associated refrigeration and dehumidification equipment, completing asbestos abatement for the floor tile under the cooler, and installing a new cooler with refrigeration and dehumidification equipment. Thus far we've removed the old coolers, demolished a closet and relocated the mezzanine stairs and have the new cooler and equipment on site.

Gold Wave is excited for our first PFAS investigation! We've been tasked with obtaining regulatory closure through the Illinois EPA's voluntary cleanup program for this property on behalf of the City of Naperville and the low income housing developer. We have already completed extensive site investigation and remediation of TCE, PAHs, and arsenic, but with the PFAS hazardous substance rule affecting the federal grant for the project, we're back to close the loop so the project can progress.

Tomah, WI VAMC New Material Storage Building: Despite Mother Nature's freezing temperatures and groundwater 3.5 feet higher than the design documents stated, we were able to get the subsurface dewatered, our footer trenches excavated, geotechnical testing passed, and the site protected from the cold so that concrete can be poured next week.

Gold Wave is nearing completion of our roof replacement project for USAF at Grissom ARB. Lengacher Construction has done a knock-up job as our subcontractor. We are glad to be able to provide the government a better roofing system than specficied with a maintenance-free 30-year manufacturer warranty on schedule and budget!

Work is progressing on our new ground-up construction of a new storage building at the Crown Hill National Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Gold Wave is excited to be assisting the National Park Service with demolition of their aboveground storage tank at Bandelier National Monument near Los Alamos, NM. Snow is shutting us down but we'll be back after the Veterans Day holiday!
