From hogs to cows and everything in between, these young exhibitors take deep pride in their work. ???? What makes this even more special is knowing that many of these animals rely on feed from Gold Star! We’re fortunate to receive heartwarming letters, cards and pictures from kids of all ages, telling their stories. ?? But it's never too late to celebrate these animals that play a key role in making some of our favorite products like cheese, butter and ice cream. Here are some fun dairy cow facts: - ?? It takes 10 pounds of cow’s milk to make one pound of cheese. - ?? It takes around 21 pounds of cow’s milk to make one pound of butter. - ?? It takes 12 pounds of cow’s milk to make one gallon of ice cream. Next time you grab any of these items from your fridge or freezer, take a moment to appreciate the hard work of our dairy cows! ??
