?? The end of summer means county fair season in upstate New York, and one of the best parts is seeing kids proudly showing off their animals. ?? From hogs to cows and everything in between, these young exhibitors take deep pride in their work. ???? What makes this even more special is knowing that many of these animals rely on feed from Gold Star! We’re fortunate to receive heartwarming letters, cards and pictures from kids of all ages, telling their stories. ?? But it's never too late to celebrate these animals that play a key role in making some of our favorite products like cheese, butter and ice cream. Here are some fun dairy cow facts: - ?? It takes 10 pounds of cow’s milk to make one pound of cheese. - ?? It takes around 21 pounds of cow’s milk to make one pound of butter. - ??
