By raising morale, the team can achieve a greater degree of flexibility and creativity. Psychological safety, discussed in subsequent modules, is a critical component. Promoting a shared vision is required to drive organizational learning and change. But....where do these grand visions originate? Of course, there are some geniuses out there who single-handedly dream up and proclaim a vision that aligns everyone within the company. However, more often than not, TEAMS are required to draft the organization's vision. This can be a challenging and time-consuming process. John Kotter writes in his book 'Leading Change,' "Vision creation is almost always a messy, difficult, and sometimes emotionally charged exercise." He follows this with, "if teamwork does not exist in the guiding coalition, parochialism can turn vision creation into an endless negotiation." Ed Catmull in 'Creativity, Inc.' supports the same by writing, "creative people discover and realize their visions over time and through dedicated, protracted struggle." Catmull goes on to say that a friend once told him, "The best way to predict the future is to invent it." Have you helped draft a vision, develop goals, or shape policies?

I have some big news... Just over 130 organizations in the world have ACE college credit recommendations for the courses/exams that they offer and now RBLP Leadership Certifications is one of them. The RBLP, RBLP Coach, and RBLP Trainer certification exams have all been recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE) effective Sept 1st 2024. The RBLP exam is recommended for 3 hours of lower-division credit at the Baccalaureate level in Team Leadership. The RBLP Coach exam is recommended for 3 hours of upper-division credit at the Baccalaureate level in Managerial Leadership. The RBLP Trainer exam is recommended for 3 hours of upper-division credit at the Baccalaureate level in Applied Leadership. Provides an opportunity for the team to reflect on where they are, what they’ve accomplished, and where they want to go. ? Allows a space to highlight conflicting priorities, clarify misunderstandings, and uncover potential friction points. ? Gives each team member an opportunity to voice his or her thoughts to influence the process, resulting in a higher level of commitment to team decisions. Some of your best ideas shouldn't pass the elevator test. Forward-thinking, disruptive, game-changing ideas push the limits of accepted thought and challenge established mental models.
