?? Solome Tibebu has done it again! Behavioral Health Tech was a powerful gathering of thought leaders, innovators and leaders in the BH space. Taylor Rust and I loved spending time with?our partners, clients and fellow solutions. Shout out to Ling Shao and Liz Hevenstone for bringing together a thoughtful panel "Wrap Around Services for Families with?Autism". I was honored to be part of with Lisa Heck, Renee Schneider, Ph.D., and Rebecca Warnken. Everyone shared their personal and professional stories in a real and vulnerable way - it was moving. ?? Great conversation with Saul Marquez on the Expanding Access podcast. All around an incredible?experience! Cheers to everyone making impact and progress in this important space. Special #BHT shout outs: great to see Amanda Neely, PHR, SHRM-CP and Hayden Sloan from our partners at Unum. My heart stopped so many times during the past week from the heartbreaking & heartwarming stories-turned-missions at the Behavioral Health Tech Conference. Here are a few that stood out: ?? Paris Hilton and Caroline Cole sharing their heartbreaking upbringing in residential treatment facilities being abused and deceived ?? Now 11:11 Media has changed over 10 state legislations and continue to fight to stop the abuse still happening TODAY ?? Johnny Crowder, CRPS ?? used his experience surviving suicide, abuse, and depression ?? Now Cope Notes? reaches nearly 100 countries across the world with simple text messages to rewire brains & reduce stress and anxiety ?? Alyson Stoner using her unique experiences as an actress, producer, and queer ADHD-er ?? Now Movement Genius reaches tens of thousands of people with neuro-affirming & queer-affirming content to destress and live better ?? Melissa Danielsen, Ling Shao, Rebecca Warnken, Dr. David Sitt, myself, and many more sharing their (and their kids'!) neurodivergence stories ?? now not only is the neurodiversity conversation in the conference, but has it's whole own track! Not to mention Shimmer and the many other solutions at every level that have been born from lived (neurodivergence) experience I think one of the things I'm most floored by is how deep & wide the conversation around neurodiversity is becoming. Just a few years ago, neurodiversity was lumped (if even) into the one breath it takes to say mental health. Now, we're beginning to uncover and break apart the nuances and understand the various solutions we'll need at each level to serve our community well. Cheers, to a wonderful BHT 2024, and the conversations to come! Thank you Solome Tibebu for birthing this incredible conference, and thank you to those who made it what it was for me: Stacy Olsen DiStefano, Jay Chaudhary, Jennifer Riha, Rebecca Richwine, Carmine Di Maro, Pushkar Joshi, PhD, Gaurang Choksi, Jessica Lee, Ori Fruhauf, Dr. David Sitt, Ling Shao, Caroline Cole, Saul Marquez ??

We were proud to focus #neurodiversity this year and even more to come in 2025! #BHT2024
I'm so impressed & inspired by the #neurodiversity track at #BHT2024! One of many notable takeaways was Chris Wang relating neurodiversity to biodiversity. Such a powerful concept. Homage to many who were using the term in the 1990s and relating it to other concepts, like biodiversity. Gratitude to the international group of autistic scholars who traced the origins of the term: - Monique Botha - Robert Chapman - Morénike Giwa Onaiwu, PhD - Steven Kapp - Abs Stannard Ashley - Nick Walker Here are highlights from the following 2 neurodiversity sessions I attended on Days 1 & 2: "Reimagining & Innovating the Neurodiversity System" - Stacy Olsen DiStefano, Consulting For Human Services - Jay Chaudhary, Sagamore Institute - Jennifer Riha, Boundless - Christal Wang, Shimmer - Rebecca Richwine, Merakey "Wrap Around Services for Families with Autism" - Ling Shao, SpectrumAi - Melissa Danielsen, Joshin - Rebecca Warnken, Aon - Renee Schneider, Ph.D., Google - Lisa H., Best Buy Neurodiversity has real ROI for employers! Key areas of economic impact from appropriately supporting neurodiversity in the workplace are: - Improved retention - Increased employee satisfaction - Enhanced team productivity - Reduced medical costs - Decreased legal liabilities Obviously, there's plenty of neurodivergence at home too. Many parents struggle to find what works best for their child, but when they do it is like the sun starts shining again. And employers who support the employees with neurodivergent dependents will reap many of the same rewards as above. Thanks to the speakers & panelists! Thanks to Solome Tibebu & the Behavioral Health Tech team for a great event! Looking forward to Day 3!

Reporter Marissa Plescia of MedCity News interviews HR benefits experts like Erin Terkoski Young, MBA, MSW of WTW, at the Behavioral Health Tech conference: "There is this discrepancy now between what employers think and what employees feel like they need or are requesting. … I think that based on where we are — like the economy, financial needs, retirement and how some of those things are driving anxiety — we just need to think more intentionally about the big pockets of our workforce and where they are and what they need,” said Erin Terkoski Young, Director of Health, Equity and Wellbeing at WTW, during a Tuesday interview at the?Behavioral Health Tech?conference in Phoenix.
