Today marks the final day of our Full Send - Accounting | Data week-long team off-site here in Buenos Aires, and I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to build this incredible team! Here are some highlights of what we accomplished this week: ? Launched new security practices to ensure all client and internal data is secure. ?? ? Identified ways to improve our client service function by analyzing our processes, systems, and team structure. ?? ? Further established trust and strengthened relationships among team members. ?? ? Enjoyed many delicious facturas (pastries) provided by the team. ?? ? Bonded over food, wine, and great company during team outings. ?? For me personally, this week feels like a "pinch me" moment in my career. I'm incredibly energized by the progress we've made this week and the potential of this team. What good is a dashboard if no one actually use it? ?? Too often, dashboards are just data dumps (or duplicates..) - packed with numbers but missing the bigger goal: helping people make better decisions. The real magic happens when the same data can be framed differently depending on who’s looking at it. Take a VC firm for example: ?? An operator? They need to track costs at a *granular* level - maybe down to utilities or vendor contracts so they can optimize spending before it eats into margins. ?? An investor? They need the high-level view - which portfolio companies are burning cash too fast, which are capital-efficient, and who might need attention soon. ?? The secret? A well-structured dataset with transactional-level details that aggregates seamlessly, allowing each stakeholder to explore data relevant to their role is KEY in this decision-making. Same data. Same dashboard. But built to serve every stakeholder. If your dashboards don’t work like this, what’s the point? ??
