Well, that was fun! Day 1 of the Worldbuilding Expo and I’ve had a great time exploring creative businesses with Oli Dierickx Peggy McCartha ?? Debbee Jeter Victoria Carrington Chávez? Richard Lowenthal and many more! I did mini collaborative oracle card readings in my gorgeous oracle card room (see photo) and they kept turning into energy healing sessions too. No Business-ing Allowed: The Power of Connection Beyond Work Yesterday, at our monthly networking event in Global Business Plaza, we did something different—no business-ing allowed (yes, that’s a word, and I’m keeping it!). Instead of the usual introductions, pitches, and strategies, we shared personal stories—funny childhood moments, passions, and the little things that bring us joy. Even Richard Lowenthal popped in and gave us a glimpse of who he is beyond the business side. There’s something about having a conversation over a meal or coffee that changes the dynamic. Science even backs this up—research shows that breaking bread together builds trust and strengthens relationships. Okay, I used to love comic books and had a huge collection—from Disney to Marvel. This one is super special to me. I can’t even say how many times I read it. Bear with me. 1. It was summer, and Donald Duck was trying to get to the beach with his nephews. 2. There was super high traffic ?? 3. He ended up coming back home and designing a super cool Vacation Box ?? 4. He filled it up with sand, amazing images of the sea on the walls, wind—everything simulating the real scenario ??? 5. Then he created a mountain box with a treadmill for hiking and many others ?? By the time this story was written, there was no internet, no social media. This was genius because it kind of represented a metaverse. Now, back to 2025, if we’re stuck at home and for some reason can’t take a trip in the middle of a workday... ...say hello to Virtual Calming Rooms ?? Close your eyes and imagine any place in the world you’d like to be. Virtual Calming Rooms are environments to relax and connect in a different way. We can listen to music ?? practice meditation ??watch videos ?? and chat. Sounds like waves or rain can even slow down your heartbeat. And of course, we don’t have to be alone.
