  • Here at GoBlock we’ve been committing man hours to determining where and when some of the critical risks in supply chain we saw during the COVID-19 pandemic are going to be addressed with government funding and resources. So far, while there have been focuses on pharmaceuticals and transportation, we’ve haven’t seen major indicators that change is coming inside the 4 walls in relation to impact mitigation. Have you heard of any government funding or researching to keep warehousing and distribution moving forward?

  • If you're looking for a break from the stereotypical consultanting approach, we're hear to help. GoBlock.co

When you think of consultants,?you may think: "Expensive… and they just suggest, they don’t DO” However, let's break the stereotypes! Contrary to this misconception of high-paid outsiders with unwarranted opinions, specialized consultants can bring a real ROI. Drawing from years of experience, they conduct meticulous assessments, compare your organization to industry best practices, and provide you with insights that you may have missed. Many leaders initially focus on optimizing a specific aspect of their operation, and that's where consultants can provide a perspective. We understand the importance of examining the entire operation to achieve the most cost-efficient results. For instance, maybe you need to reduce your pick face replenish work effort and feel that a pick face reslot is needed. We can validate (or counter) that approach by conducting a comprehensive analysis, considering software changes, operational adjustments, MHE equipment types, and more. And then we DO it with you – and reduce your replenishment labor! The consulting costs pay for themselves with the labor savings. So, in the realm of distribution and material handling, specialized consultants can play a pivotal role as unbiased experts and implementors and can provide an immediate ROI. GoBlock has a broad network of subject matter experts who bring you this insight and work with you to implement those insights. If you're seeking to DO, instead of just talk, let GoBlock be your guide to success. Together, let's unlock the full potential of your business!

  • This articles hits the nail on the head on?how we can utilize improved controls and software to manage processes and the warehouse as a whole without making?a big venture into a capital project that makes multiple years and impacts operations. Improvements in controls can be integrated in short sprints over time and have a graduated realization of benefits. We really enjoyed this article and found the concept to resonate with us from the end of 2023. https://lnkd.in/eci8jMPZ

  • Evan Armstrong great article, we're speaking the same language! 3rd Party Logistics companies are often an accurate indicator of the market as a whole as thy are both multi-sector and brand agnostic, we're hearing we've completed the soft landing. GoBlock has been seeing and saying the same thing for the better part of 2024, knowing that we’re coming out of the soft landing and are seeing all of the signs that we’re taking off again in the near future. https://lnkd.in/dF72pejy

  • Thanks again everyone! It's been a wonderful series and we've enjoyed the collaboration and feedback from all of you.

GoBlock is excited to complete our series on warehousing and distribution projects. We hope the series was engaging to industry professionals and a great introduction for those who are just now jumping into these exciting and trending projects. With the projected growth in the consumer and ecommerce market, we’ll likely see warehousing and distribution projects continue to be very common in the industry allowing companies to skirt labor shortages or boost productivity to meet consumer demands. We’ve really appreciated revisiting each phase of a project and found it to be a great refresher for the team as well. If you’ve enjoyed the series, please let us know in the comments!

  • Industry insiders and researchers alike have predicted that the growth in 2023 and 2024 will result in an overall increase in productivity of ~60% while reducing operations costs by ~40%. While this statement probably would have held true if labor remained unchanged, labor shortages have been prevalent across the market and the most important benefit coming out of automation has been the reduced risks to operations from labor shortages. Does this ring true with what you've seen in the industry? Let us know!

  • During our time spent at MODEX this year, we kept our eyes out for new and emerging technology but were pleased to find a different theme.?Instead, refinement of "that" last 1%, seemed to be the standard fare, be it new photo scanning cameras and processing technology, improved accuracy in positioning modules, and rapid charging technology to keep automation active and on the job. Sure, it doesn't seem as exciting as years past, but industry experts can agree this year's evolution was focused on the refined warehousing experience which all our clients will undoubtedly appreciate. Did you make the same observation?
