We are the Change Project ??? ? Mrida with their project, 'Women’s health and hygiene in tribal communities'? ? How is your team approaching your unique community challenge? ? ? We designed an interesting, fun-driven awareness workshop which included knowledge around the issue as well as some games. We started with from our own villages and our own school first. We gathered the girls by going home to home. We are coupling this with sports as well. In the football league we would address this issue at large would be a good platform to bring things in the open and not be shy about it. We also showed some videos and in the end, also distributed some sanitary pads to the participants along with a promise to keep themselves healthy.? ? ? #girlpower #womenpower? #healthandwellness

Using soccer to teach young women leadership and inspire community change.
关于我们
Our mission at Goals for Girls is to use soccer to teach young women life skills on how to be agents of change, in their own lives and in their communities. Goals for Girls connects girls from different countries and backgrounds with their peers around the world to address social and health challenges through cultural exchange, service, and soccer. Since 2007, we have used this unique platform to help disadvantaged girls across the globe by providing life skills and leadership education, all taught through the game of soccer.

?? Goals for Girls Naija Program - Week 1 Update! ?? We’ve officially kicked off with 30 passionate girls, guided by Coach Udoh and Ashake, as part of our commitment to empowering young girls through football. The week’s theme was "Everyone Can Play!" – a reminder that respect and inclusion are key. While the weather affected some of our practical drills, the excitement only grew. The highlight? More girls wanted to join, allowing us to complete the team effortlessly! ?? #GirlsEmpowerment #GoalsForGirlsNaija #InclusionInSports #YouthDevelopment #FootballForAll #EveryoneCanPlay

It’s incredibly inspiring to hear from these young future leaders, sharing their stories of how they’ve realized their potential and begun making an impact. The Goals for Girls program is designed to build up strong, confident young women by providing them with the tools, mentorship, and support that many of us wish we had access to at their age. By empowering these future leaders, we’re helping shape the next generation of change-makers. What advice would you give to your younger self? How would you encourage her to recognize and embrace her full potential?
