Goals for Girls

? ???? Strategic Planning My task with Goals for Girls was to build a roadmap for girls sports and leadership programming in existing and new markets. Building the plan with Lola Ogunbote and community leaders in Nigeria like was a pleasure. We laid out the roadmap, stakeholders and partner management to create safe, fun places to play. Measuring the programs through surveys, interviews and community metrics all helped build round two even better. Love following programs like this and happy to have played my part!

There girls faced a lot of challenges...communication being difficult, people uninterested in their cause, but despite that, the persevered and committed to being the change they wanted to see in their community! ? ? What community challenge has been addressed through your Project? ? ??Deforestation and lack of green public spaces in our community.? ? What is your project goal? ? ??We want to plant 5000 trees and promote the importance of green spaces to improve air quality? ? Who is your target audience?? ??????Residents of all ages in our community, particularly youth and families.? ? How many target audience members did your Project reach?? ??Approximately 1,000 community members.? ? We Are The Change Project ??? ? Child Haven is coming in HOT with their project, 'Developing Football in the Community.' ? ? What was a project achievement for your team? ? ? To be honest, we never ever represented our self as a team in the past, we did not even know what being courageous meant! However, after attending the G4G Summit, we got an insight of what it's like to feel a sense of belonging in a community of voices. Our Project Topic was Access to learning which we decided at G4G. After returning from the G4G summit, we found that we had built up a lot of courage, and were now trying to work out as a team, how we could express that. From this topic, our team had to learn why we need to access learning for ourselves and others. ? ? ?? Today we are not proud of achieving a great milestone, but we are proud of taking the baby steps and setting the foundation for other girls at our home to lead in future. ? ? ?? We are happy that we achieved our goal of making play or physical sport accessible to children by our program. ? ? ?? We are also happy that around 8 children come to our home to? play football from their homes even after our program was over, which is an achievement for us that we reached in the community with our Goal and gave children a purpose in life. ? ? We Are The Change Project ?? ? Dreaming in Slums with their project, 'Keep it Clean, Keep it Green.' ? ? What community challenge has been addressed through your Project? ? ? Through this project in our community we have addressed some problems like dry waste garbage, lack of awareness about waste recycling, how garbage is affecting our environment and causing climate change issues day by day (lately we got to know plastic is also one of the main reasons for climate change) and irresponsible behavior of people regarding waste. ? ? ? #environment #dreams #nature#football#empowerment

We Are The Change Project ??? ? Introducing CEQUIN with their project, 'Agents for Change.'? ? What community challenge has been addressed through your Project? ? ? In our communities, there are financial struggles, lack of sanitation & open spaces to play, limited opportunities to learn, and a lot of gender discrimination. This leads to girls being actively discouraged from participating in outdoor sports, which in turn, stunts their ability to develop leadership skills. ? ? What was your project goal? ? ? Our goal was to provide 60 community girls ( who had dropped out from the program) Access to Learn and participate in football activities ( practice, tournaments, matches, events) through door to door mobilization , community meetings with 60 parents and stakeholders and organize a football tournament in Delhi. ? ? ? #socialgood #growth #success#football
