?? Perfectionism isn’t protecting you—it’s holding you back. It’s tempting to believe that if we just get everything exactly right, we’ll avoid failure, criticism, or disappointment. Perfectionism feels like a safety net—like if we control every little detail, things will turn out flawlessly. But in reality? Perfectionism keeps us stuck. It fuels overthinking, procrastination, and that nagging feeling that our work is never good enough to put out into the world. We set impossible standards, and when we don’t meet them, we feel like we’ve failed—even when what we did accomplish is actually pretty amazing. ?? Perfectionism vs. Hard Work—There’s a Difference. ?? Here’s the thing: Perfectionism isn’t the same as hard work. You can be the hardest worker in the room, deeply passionate, detail-oriented, and full of knowledge while still celebrating your wins and protecting your mental health. We need to ensure we’re achieving greatness and actually enjoying it. Maybe we can trust the process more. ?? Listen to your friends, your relatives, your partner. Be kind to them—they’re probably being way too hard on themselves. And most importantly? Be kind to yourself. You’re doing better than you think.
