It's not an easy time to be a sales leader. (1) Growth expectations are high, (2) budgets are tight, (3) buyers are conservative, (4) AI disruption is a pro and a con and (5) macro-economics and geo-politics are challenging.
The GTM Leader Society now has 5 Councils and our Sales Executive Council Leaders Ray Carroll (SVP Sales), Lucky Young (30+ Year Sales Compensation Expert) and I hosted our first CRO Event last night, another terrific Omakase dinner with Chef Daiji.

It was a rich evening of experience sharing including. A few best practice highlights emerged:
* Getting sellers back in the office/hub, especially early career (Chicago has been a great market)
* Attacking performance distribution challenges: scaling down size of the sales team (50% of sellers account for <10% bookings) + reinvesting in first line sales managers + seeking for veteran reps to play a bigger role
* Use of Marketplaces: No brainer for low complexity solutions that are easy to trial/buy and strong value proposition for higher complexity solutions (check out Flywl )
* The Importance of Value Selling, Measurement and Recognition across the customer lifecycle (checkout ValueCore)
* The role of AI tools: Automation vs. Augmentation, Top Use Cases, What's Worked vs. Not, How to Experiment
