With a proven track record in creating impactful donor recognition programs, GNU excels at designing custom solutions that celebrate generosity and inspire community engagement. ? Here's another great example from our archives! GNU Group was engaged to design and implement a comprehensive donor recognition program in support of a $1.5 million fundraising campaign for the new stadium at Davis Senior High School. The program honored contributors while fostering community engagement, benefiting both students and local residents. To attract and acknowledge supporters, GNU developed a range of donor recognition opportunities, along with a visually compelling Donor Inspiration Booklet. This piece served as a key tool for the B&W Foundation, helping to inspire and engage potential donors in bringing the stadium project to life. If your organization is planning a similar campaign or needs assistance with donor recognition work, we're here to help! www.gnugroup.com #DonorRecognition #Signage #ExperientialDesign

Excited to see the Maudelle Miller Shirek Community come to life! Our team was proud to design exterior and interior signage for this meaningful project, helping to create a welcoming and cohesive environment for its new residents. Congratulations to RCD on this incredible milestone! #ExperientialDesign #Signage #AffordableHousing #CommunityImpact
??? Maudelle Miller Shirek Community welcomes its first residents home! ?? Last week, RCD welcomed our first new residents of 2025. We are thrilled to share that 87 households will now call Maudelle Miller Shirek Community home! This new, affordable community sits across the street from the Ashby BART station, just one stop away from RCD’s office in Berkeley! We are honored to dedicate this building to Maudelle Miller Shirek, a steadfast advocate and pillar of the Black community in Berkeley who dedicated her life to the community and those marginalized by society. We're also excited to be welcoming Healthy Black Families to our ground floor commercial space in the coming months! Their mission to advance equity for Black communities perfectly embodies Maudelle's vision for Berkeley and beyond. Our outstanding partners made this achievement possible. Special thanks to MWA Architects, Inc. and Nibbi Brothers General Contractors for their vision and exceptional work bringing this community to life. We're grateful to our funders at City of Berkeley, California Department of Housing & Community Development, Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, and Bank of America for their ongoing commitment to affordable housing. As we move forward in 2025, we remain dedicated to creating more affordable homes where Bay Area residents can thrive!

KUDOS to our friends at STUDIOS Architecture! The GNU Group is proud to have contributed to this project with thoughtfully designed monument and tenant signage. Always rewarding to see our work come to life in such a striking setting! ?
Inspired by the Stanford University's agrarian roots, the new, all-electric Hub is the first shared amenity building in Stanford Research Park's 70-year existence, intended to serve the very community that powers it. Learn more: https://bit.ly/41bNIut

? Bringing Burlingame's History to Life! ? 220 Park is a spectacular 6-story, 140,000 sq ft building complete with two subterranean parking levels that seamlessly connects to the beautifully renovated historic Post Office. A vibrant outdoor public parklet will serve as a key amenity, creating a welcoming space for the community and office workers alike. ???? GNU partnered with the development team to craft a comprehensive branded signage program and design a breathtaking outdoor mosaic mural. (HUGE shoutout to our friends at MOSAIKA & WeidnerCA) Together, these elements celebrate Burlingame’s rich historic charm while meeting the needs of office and retail tenants, bringing history, design, and community together in a truly inspiring way! A well-earned recognition for HMC Architects! We're especially excited to see the Yucca Valley Aquatics & Recreation Center receiving the attention it deserves. The GNU Group is proud to have partnered with the Town of Yucca Valley and the design team to bring a distinctive brand to this important community facility. Stay tuned—we look forward to sharing more from this project in the months ahead! ? #ExperientialDesign #BrandingDesign #YuccaValley #CommunitySpaces
HMC Architects is on a roll! Over the past couple of weeks, we've brought home eight awards across five incredible projects. While adding more trophies to the shelf is exciting, what truly matters is the recognition of our communities, teams, and processes. From fostering student success at Cuyamaca College and supporting a sustainable future at San Bernardino Valley College to honoring the visionary work of the ALLENSWORTH PROGRESSIVE ASSOCIATION, creating collaborative learning spaces at Del Oro High School in Kern High School District, and crafting a serene high desert oasis for the Town of Yucca Valley—this is what drives us. This is Design for Good in action. #HMCArchitects #DesignForGood #Architecture #Awards #ChicagoAthenaeum #SCDF #USGBCCA

Sustainability is more than just a goal—it’s a responsibility. Read more below. ??????
Strategic Operations Leader | Driving Efficiency, Growth, and Talent Development in Creative & Professional Services | Passionate About Turning Operational Challenges Into Measurable Growth
Sustainability should be a business driver. When Larry Morgan began his talk at the IFMA East Bay Chapter Chapter Kickoff last Wednesday, I fully admit that I may have rolled my eyes. Ok, another talk on "sustainability". I've become cynical over the years as I hear more companies "talk" about sustainability but fail to live it out through their actions and investments. But as I listened, I gained a much larger perspective on sustainability and how it impacts—and has always been integral to—facilities management. Sustainability must become a business driver. It requires executive sponsorship. Goals, objectives and success criteria need to be defined. And so much more. I also appreciate his sharing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (https://sdgs.un.org/goals), which go beyond pure climate issues. It was a much-needed reminder that sustainability transcends being a mere environmental checkbox; it is an imperative for businesses. Thank you, Larry Allen Morgan, CFM,SFP,FMP, for dispelling my cynicism and revealing the broader scope of sustainability.
