We used Hive’s AI models to extract more nuanced trends in marketing and culture looking across all Big Game commercials and programming. A few highlights: ?? Fresh faces: 51% of airtime came from brands that did not advertise in last year’s Big Game ?? Al Installed: AI was the breakout topic with 7 national commercials touting AI-centric and AI-infused products ?? EVs Unplugged: Auto ads promoting electric vehicles reached their lowest levels since 2020 ?? Famous Friends: 60% of ads featured celebrities; movie and TV stars were the most common type of celebrity ??♀? Casting: There was a noticeable YoY drop in the amount of women and non-white actors cast, speaking, and starring in ads ?? Four-Legged Friends: Marketers consistently favor dogs to cats; this year, the presence of both decreased (4 ads with dogs vs. 18 in 2024; none with cats vs. 3 in 2023) ?? A Part of the Game: Sponsors visible in the telecast earned more than $245M in equivalent media value from almost 2 hours of cumulative in-game exposure and verbal mentions; Nike and Gatorade were the most exposed brands ? ??
