???Better storytelling = better tourism ?? As over-tourism strains popular destinations, travel storytellers play a crucial role in reshaping narratives. By spotlighting lesser-known places, they can ease the burden on overcrowded spots and promote regenerative travel—travel that restores, replenishes, and positively impacts local communities and ecosystems. In our February newsletter, we explore how storytelling can inspire responsible tourism and help travelers create meaningful, lasting change. Trails should be for everyone—yet accessibility remains a challenge for many. ???????????? This article, written by Amelia Arvesen for Backpacker Magazine, spotlights a Portland-based wheelchair hiking group and its work to model a future where trail access is truly inclusive. The group's efforts align with a groundbreaking initiative the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) is piloting: the High-Efficiency Trail Assessment Process (HETAP), a trail assessment program to improve access for mobility aid users nationwide. GLP Films is proud to have partnered with the?Oregon Coast Visitors Association?to produce a campaign that highlights their commitment to accessibility and inclusion. From adaptive trails to welcoming experiences, the Oregon Coast is leading the way in creating a destination where everyone can explore without barriers. ?? This work is a powerful reminder of why accessibility matters in the travel and tourism industry—it’s about creating opportunities for connection, adventure, and belonging. ?? #AccessibleTravel #InclusionMatters #SustainableTourism #OregonCoast #TrailAccess Read the full article and learn how HETAP works here: https://lnkd.in/gf8YigpC
