  • Meet Andy Glockner. As the 5th generation business builder, Andy knew he had big shoes to fill. And he more than surpassed all expectations. During his senior year of college, his father Ebby Glockner, called on him to join the family business. Within 3 years, Portsmouth Volkwagen Porsch Audi would become Andy's Car Center - now known as Glockner Honda Toyota. Andy later founded Glockner Auto Credit, because he believed that even though good people fall on tough times, they still deserve to drive a nice car. Auto Credit has been helping people for decades now and has grow to 6 locations across our area. Much like his father, faith and family are his top priority. Andy was also a huge supporter of his community. He also made time for civic endeavors, River Days, Mural Committee, etc. Andy took care of his employees. He always said his employees work with him, not for him. Andy retired from the family business in 2021, but can still be found in the office most mornings. He remains a constant supporter and encourager to the next generation. - ?? • Meet Edward "Ebby" Glockner. Ebby always said, "The first generation builds a business, the second runs it, and the third liquidates it." Well, that was not the case for our family business. Ebby was the 4th generation of business builders, with a passion to grow the business and an unmatched zest for life. He added a leasing company, an oil company, and an International Harvester truck line - just to name a few - to the family business. His priority list was short and sweet. God was always first and his family came in a close second. Chevrolet gave him the opportunity to see the world with his wife and best friend, Joanne. But of all the places he traveled in the world, his favorite place was a little slice of land on the Ohio River, Kentucky Dam 31. - ?? • Meet Edward A Glockner and Helen Glockner. Being the third generation to enter the family business, there was a lot of pressure to succeed on this brother and sister duo. With the separation of the hardware store and the automobile business in 1919, Edward continued to work with his father, Alex, to expand the automobile business, while Helen served as the bookkeeper for the hardware store. Helen later joined her brother at the Chevrolet dealership after the death of their father, Alex. The Great Depression in the 30s and World War II in the 40s brought unprecedented challenges, which would result in the sale of the hardware store, but like their forefathers, they survived and eventually thrived. - ??
