Flight Centre Travel Group surveyed clients from FCM and Corporate Traveler which revealed a positive outlook for business travel in fiscal year 2025. Here are a few key findings: ??40% of global clients plan to increase travel volume. ??42% expect to boost travel spending. ??In the Americas, 41% will increase trips, and 47% anticipate higher spending. ??10% globally and 12% in the Americas aim to raise trip volume by over 20%. Business travel is on the rise. Marriott International saw a 4% year-over-year increase in business travel revenue per available room in the second quarter, with total business transient room nights and ADR also showing growth. Small and midsized enterprises are driving much of this momentum, accounting for nearly 55% of business transient room nights. Despite some global challenges, including softening demand in China, Marriott remains optimistic for continued growth in 2024. Marriott International is taking a powerful stand against human trafficking with its new initiative, HotelHelp. Piloting in five U.S. cities—Atlanta, Detroit, Phoenix, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.—this program provides emergency short-term stays for trafficking survivors and their care providers. By January 2025, Marriott plans to expand HotelHelp to 25 cities across North America, with global expansion in the future.
