#VeteransDay is especially meaningful to GRM as we honor our own veterans—founder Pete Reed, team members, board members, and volunteers. They are all brave and selfless individuals who have devoted their lives to service, both in uniform and in their communities. We can’t adequately express gratitude for the sacrifices made by all veterans and their loved ones. We strive to uphold the values of bravery, dedication, and resilience they exemplify. They are the inspiration behind our mission to Save lives. Period.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courageous first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation to save others. Decades later, their sacrifice remains sacred. #911 #remember

Hemorrhage is the number one cause of death in traumatic injuries. Pre-hospital blood transfusions, like those needed and done in the field after a missile, strike, have the highest impact on mortality within the first 30 minutes after injury1. For first responders heading to recent strike zones like Poltava and Lviv, such as emergency personnel in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), having the advanced training and proper equipment for life-saving blood transfusion is necessary to help them move fast and confidently. There are 190 members of SESU awaiting training for pre-hospital blood transfusions. GRM is working to expedite these trainings and ensure the availability of necessary transfusion equipment. With the increase of missile strikes across Ukraine, time is critical. We have already secured a matching grant for $75K towards the total if raised in the next 30 days. Donate in the next 30 minutes and help save a life. https://lnkd.in/gcj5Kk9T

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) are highly skilled rescue workers who respond to missile strikes, clear unexploded ordinance, and provide critical prehospital care to the citizens of Ukraine in hazardous conditions. The recent attacks in Poltava and Lviv —resulting in 58 deaths and 200 injuries— highlighted their role as first on scene at great risk to themselves. These men and women need support for continued training and rescue equipment when arriving at the strike zone so they can help as many wounded as possible as quickly as possible. As a community of first responders, GRM is expanding our service in Ukraine to support these men and women. Donate now to help.
