TL;DR from my latest panel discussion about gaming on TON in Singapore ? 500M users are already using Telegram Mini Apps (TMAs). ? Tap apps are great for marketing the TON ecosystem, but they need to evolve into something more complex and valuable. ? We predict that 25-50% of TMA users are bots, but that still leaves over 250M+ real users. ? Major Asian gaming studios are building on TON. ? The current hype around TMAs is similar to the P2E hype in 2021. The main difference? People are losing time, not money. Most projects will fail, but the best ones will bring real value to users. I’m personally 100% bullish on what’s happening with the TON ecosystem. It’s the best way for people to start interacting with crypto. I see taxi drivers and people who know nothing about web3 tapping Blum to get some tokens in the future. Of course, many will leave. But it’s all about retention. How many will stay after a week, month, or year? Even if 0.1% of the 500M users stay, that’s 500k new users who will bring both value (and some noise) to the ecosystem. I got into web3 with the P2E hype. I was invited just to support my friend’s game, and here I am, three years later, doing something completely different—but still here. For me, it’s a huge marketing activity with the easiest onboarding I’ve ever seen and I would love to support the founders. Send your favorite TMA in the comments.
