We had the pleasure of hosting a great #securepathways cybersecurity career awareness workshop at Saint Louis University. We spent the morning with nearly 100 local high school students, talking about cybersecurity jobs, skills and the future of our industry. Thank you to Edward Liebig, John Smith, Susan Klement, CISSP, PMP, Rhonna Novy and the entire team of Masters students from SLU for volunteering to share your stories with the students.

GCC Board of Directors Member Dr. Simone Cummings recently chatted with our partners at the Security Advisor Alliance about the #MissouriTechFirstInitiative and why she believes companies around the United States should take the pledge, and get access to this amazing pool of new tech talent.
We recently asked Simone Cummings, Dean of the George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology for Webster University why she thought the Missouri Tech First Initiative was a win for the state, the region and the country. See what she had to say! https://lnkd.in/eYBfWiBT

Are you looking for technology talent? Are you looking for diverse candidates that bring new ways of solving problems? You're in luck, we have a new pool of passionate professionals entering the workforce as we speak and you can have first access!
It dawned on me recently that I've spent the last 9 years of my life working at the Security Advisor Alliance. Our mission is to inspire a diverse and inclusive nationwide talent pool to prepare for careers in cybersecurity and to build a bridge between that talent, and the needs of industry, academia and government. Here's a beautiful opportunity to realize that mission! There are over 600 individuals preparing for entry level careers in technology and information security. They are being trained by organizations like Per Scholas, NPower, CyberUp and LaunchCode. The best part...they are recruited from communities that have previously never had access to this training. You know what that means?...diversity for your teams! How can you make a difference? Let's build that bridge I talked about between these passionate individuals and your teams. Take the Missouri Tech First Pledge, and demonstrate that resources like this make a difference in the lives of our citizens, and in your teams as well. https://lnkd.in/eyhsK5TH
