In my address, I focused on the urgent global water crisis—an issue with significant real-world consequences. Parts of the world are running dry, yet the wellness industry is brimming with "thirsty" businesses that rely heavily on water. ? Water crisis carries profound economic implications for the wellness sector. The reality is, water cannot wait, and neither can the wellness industry. It's not just about recognizing the challenge but truly internalizing it. We need to adopt a broader, industry-wide stewardship of water resources, taking swift and decisive action to ensure sustainability—for both people and the planet. ? The press conference was a resounding success! Great energy, insightful discussions, and some lively banter with the journalists—exactly how we love it. ? I was joined by my amazing Co-Chairs, Nina B. Kohler and Freddie Moross, ACA, plus the wellness powerhouses Susie Ellis and NANCY DAVIS, who shared the latest UK data from Global Wellness Institute. Spoiler alert: the UK is crushing it with one of the fastest-growing wellness economies globally, boasting a 19.4% annual growth rate since 2020! ? Key highlights: ? - Wellness Tourism exploded with a 79% annual growth—more than double the global average, even after the 2020 dip. - Public Health & Personalized Medicine surged 45.3% annually, fueled by government investments, outperforming the global average. ?
