?? Urgent: Take Action to Reinstate Funding for International Exchange Programs ?? The U.S. Department of State’s funding freeze on international exchange programs—originally described as temporary—remains in effect, threatening the future of public diplomacy and international engagement. This pause directly impacts 76 Global Ties U.S. Community-Based Member organizations nationwide, including Global Ties Arizona, jeopardizing critical exchange programs that foster diplomacy, drive economic growth, and strengthen U.S. leadership worldwide. ?? International exchange programs are among the most cost-effective tools for advancing U.S. foreign policy, making America safer, stronger, and more prosperous. With 90% of the ECA budget—$665 million—spent in the U.S. or on American citizens, these programs provide an $11 return to local economies for every $1 invested. When these programs stall, small businesses, jobs, and local economies suffer. ?? The ripple effects are severe: ?? 12,500+ U.S. students and professionals with exchange commitments are left in limbo ?? 7,400+ international visitors currently in the U.S. face uncertainty ?? Local businesses lose revenue, and global partnerships are at risk ?? We urgently need your voice to ensure these programs continue. Contact Congress today and demand the immediate reinstatement of funding for international exchanges. Send a letter to your Representatives NOW: https://lnkd.in/dh4HXxw7 #ExchangeMatters #SaveExchanges #GlobalTiesArizona #PublicDiplomacy #IVLP #ActNow
