Global Task Force on Third Country Education Pathways转发了
Suuuuuper exciting news - the Refugee Student Settlement Pathway is launched! We have already had hundreds of applications, showing there is a need and an appetite for more complementary education pathways in the Asia Pacific. This builds on the shoulders of giants, not least World University Service of Canada (WUSC - EUMC) and the Global Task Force on Third Country Education Pathways, whose strong international advocacy paved the way for Australian government and higher education sector interest in building an ed-focused resettlement pathway. It's been a solid 18 months of hustling and there's an epic list of people to thank and acknowledge in getting us to this point, so shout out to Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia, Refugee Council of Australia, Settlement Council of Australia, Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network, Amnesty International, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, Duolingo, SSI, Talent Beyond Boundaries, International Education Association of Australia (IEAA) English Australia, the Australian Refugee Advisory Panel ... And huge thanks to the Australian Refugee Welcome University Sponsorship Consortium (ARWUSC) for providing input and governance from the Aus HE sector Biggest shout out to our brilliant partner, Skill Path Australia (aka Steph Cousins) for joining the RSSP journey and driving the referral pathway and development of the program, and Bronwyn Parry and The Australian National University for leading from the front and curating an iron nerve for seeing this through. What excellent partners in crime! What a rollercoaster of a journey this has been (an epic low around federal budget exceeded by an epic high of launching the RSSP now) - these humans have been integral to keeping the hope and pushing on (in no particular order): Louise Olliff Joseph Youhana Lisa Button Vivienne Chew Zaki Haidari Rana E. Michelle Manks Manal Stulgaitis Carmen G. Brett Blacker James Holden Jemma Bailey Louna Ghawi Dr Renee Dixson Rebecca Granato Andrée Ménard Marleau Anna G.
