Global Smile Foundation (GSF) is a non-profit foundation with a vision of developing universal cleft care access for every person born with cleft lip and/or palate. We believe that all patients with cleft deserve the highest quality comprehensive and long-term care, enabling them and their families to lead healthy and productive lives. Our mission is to improve the lives of patients born with cleft, empower cleft providers, and build capacity to enhance universal cleft care access in underserved areas. Our model incorporates three main goals: 1. Provide humanitarian cleft care services for children in underserved areas from birth to adulthood. We conduct 8 annual outreach programs led by highly skilled teams of volunteer cleft specialists. 2. Train cleft providers at our program sites to empower the development of year-round cleft centers and increase the availability of team-based, high quality cleft care. 3. Build long-term sustainable cleft care capacity on a global scale through our annual international workshop and research program.

Global Smile Foundation seeks a Senior Director of Development to be responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that drives sustainable revenue growth and aligns with the organization’s mission. The Senior Director will focus on expanding and diversifying funding sources through major gifts, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and institutional grants, while minimizing fundraising costs. In addition to overseeing fundraising operations, including proposal development, donor solicitations, and grant applications, the Senior Director will collaborate closely with the Board and senior leadership to leverage connections and enhance fundraising efforts. As a team leader, the Senior Director will inspire and develop a high-performing fundraising team, while partnering with international teams to enhance global fundraising efforts. Global Smile Foundation provides comprehensive care for patients born with cleft lip/palate in underserved communities throughout the world and delivers training to cleft providers in these areas. Outreach medical programs are currently located in El Salvador, Ecuador, Lebanon, and Perú. In the past, GSF has worked in Guatemala, Morocco, Brazil, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Niger, India, Burkina Faso, and Mali. GSF is an approved 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. For the past 38 years, Global Smile Foundation Founders (GSF) and volunteers have been providing patients with the best possible long-term and interdisciplinary cleft care. GSF returns to the same locations annually and is thus able to provide individualized follow-up care for patients and a continuity of care. Today marked the first day of our Outreach Medical Program in Guayaquil, Ecuador at HOSPITAL SEMEDIC . Our dedicated team from GSF and Fundación Global Smile-Ecuador conducted thorough patient evaluations and are prepared for the life-changing surgeries ahead. Each step of this program reflects our commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary care that extends beyond surgery to ensure long-term positive outcomes for our patients and their families.
