How can we make the principle of "Leaving no one behind" become reality in our daily work? In this working paper from 2023, GPE guides education practitioners and policy makers to translate this principle into practice. Violence against women and girls is widespread, reaching far into all corners of society, making it one of the most prevalent human rights violations in the world - and schools are no exception. According to the UN Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI), at least 115 million children and adolescents experience school-related gender-based violence every year. Girls are particularly vulnerable, exposing them to health risks, early pregnancy and a downward spiral of lost learning, school drop out and poverty. This International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, see how teachers are key to preventing and ending school-related gender-based violence. #NoExcuse #16days
