Exciting news: Kenya launches the national chapter of the School Meals coalition, set to reach 10 million children by 2030 ?? School meals are so much more than "just" food on a plate. School meals are the largest social safety net in the world. They ensure that children stay healthy and nourished, they prevent early school drop out, enable children to learn better throughout the day and even support local economies. To help Kenya reach the ambitious goal of universal school meals coverage for primary school, GPE, the World Food Programme and the School Meals Coalition are launching the School Health and Nutrition Technical Assistance Facility in Kenya. This will not only ensure that children receive nutritious food, it will also enable the priorities of Kenya's education system transformation by helping children to stay in school and learn. #FundEducation #Kenya
