?? Today, we want to bring the spotlight on Global Learning Labs's signature program in North Macedonia, launched in September 2023 ???? ?? To date, Global Learning Lab (GL2i) in North Macedonia has brought together partners from 7 #high #schools and 13 local #NGOs. Together, we have organized nine Leadership Academy trainings, reaching over 200 youth with the program in the cities of Skopje and ?tip. ?? The Academy participants have since gone on to implement more than 20 sustainable impact projects (SIP), which are an integral part of GL2is’ youth training. You can see two examples of SIPs (an art therapy workshop, and a high school garden) led by our alumni in the photos below ?? ???? ???? ???? We are also proud to see three of our initial Leadership Academy youth participants, Adelina, Aleksandar and Eljmedina, become trainers themselves! In Aleksandar’s words: “The Academy participants like that we, the trainers, are the same age as them. They want to hear and see us, and know what we have been through because we have a lot of things in common.” ?? At GL2i, we are convinced that tomorrow's leaders are already among us — our youth! ???? Our partners in Sri Lanka have been busy rolling out the Leadership Academy!?? ?? Back in In February 2024, Global Learning Lab supported the Association of HR Professionals Sri Lanka (AHRP) and AIESEC in Sri Lanka in launching the GLO Program – Guiding Leadership & Outreach, with the help of Brandix, Fortude, IFS, and Sysco LABS Sri Lanka. ?? Our shared mission? To empower young leaders and create lasting impact. ???? Since then, 13 Leadership Academies have been held across rural schools and universities in Sri Lanka, equipping students with leadership skills, vision, and purpose. But what truly sets this initiative apart is the real-world, local impact created by the Academy participants through their Sustainable Impact Projects (SIPs). ??? 8 SIPs have already been completed, making a tangible difference in communities. One standout project was led by Leadership Academy students at the University of Colombo School of Computing. Their SIP, "The Daily Grind", is a publication dedicated to supporting students with productivity strategies, goal-setting, and self-improvement. ?? By building their project in line the #UN Sustainable Development Goals, these young leaders are driving meaningful change around: #SDG4 - Quality Education #SDG8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth #SDG17 - Partnerships for the Goals ?? We believe this is what true leadership looks like— learning, collaborating, taking action, and creating sustainable change. Some of the best ideas take shape when passionate people come together.
