关于我们
Despite unprecedented new financial resources and medical advances during the past decade, millions of people are still not receiving quality health care in poor countries around the world. Health providers have a wealth of practical knowledge but typically work in isolation, with little opportunity to learn from the experiences of colleagues or share their own proven practices. Their ability to learn about the latest advances or participate in research about new models of care is also extremely limited. The Global Health Delivery (GHD) Project was launched in 2007 by a partnership of expert organizations, spearheaded by three Harvard University faculty members. Jim Yong Kim and Paul Farmer are global health innovators and co-founders of Partners In Health, which is internationally recognized for its unique model of delivering comprehensive medical care to millions of patients. Michael Porter is a leader in the field of strategy for complex organizations. The GHD Project is developing a new generation of tools to capture knowledge about program design and implementation’s impact on positive health outcomes and rapidly disseminate innovations to practitioners. GHD’s coordinated strategy and interdisciplinary approach bring together rigorous Research and analysis, a newly designed health care delivery curriculum: GHD Studies, use of the Internet to enable worldwide communication and information sharing among practitioners: GHDonline, and partnerships with health care delivery Centers of Excellence located around the world.
