Global Glimpse is a nonprofit organization that places diversity and equity at the heart of our model by providing transformative travel and leadership opportunities to high school students from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Since 2008, our award winning programs have served over 9,000 students + teachers and provided $17M to make travel possible for students from 100 high schools and youth organizations across the United States. Funded by hundreds of individual donors and leading companies like United Airlines, Expedia Group, Away, and Snap Inc., every student who attends one of our partner schools is eligible for a need-based scholarship. Once accepted, our students engage in pre-trip workshops that prepare them to participate in a structured 11-day international experience focused on service-learning, cultural immersion, and leadership development in Panama, Costa Rica, or the Dominican Republic. The Global Glimpse program is thoughtfully designed to expand perspectives, bridge divides, and unlock leadership potential so teens can differentiate themselves and change the world, one little bit at a time. We believe that travel is one of the most powerful forms of education. The stars truly aligned when the opportunity arose to host our international team retreat in Nicaragua this year. We launched Global Glimpse program in Nicaragua 16 years ago and so much of the way that I see the world was formed in those early years. I hadn’t been back since 2017 and it was both cathartic and catalytic for me to return to Nicaragua in this moment with a team that is so wise, so experienced, and so deeply committed to this work. One of the things I love most about the culture we’ve built at Global Glimpse is BIG LOVE. BIG LOVE is a practice of acknowledging and appreciating selfless acts that are grounded in community and connection. I have a lot of BIG LOVE to share as I ground back into the work today! ?? BIG love to the Global Glimpse team for setting the bar high! We’re cooking up some very exciting new things and I can’t wait to share! ?? I am super loyal to the brands that support our work at Global Glimpse because I believe deeply in the power of transformational partnerships. On the nonprofit side that goes far beyond receiving; it’s aligning mission, values, and business priorities to drive shared impact. I flew United Airlines long before we became a global partner in 2018. I saw potential and I wanted to understand the company intimately; being a customer allowed me to do that in the most authentic way. Seven years into our partnership and we have collaborated to make travel possible for 5,623 high school students and educators. That’s 17,600 individual flights, countless United team members who’ve engaged and shaped our young people, and even more fellow passengers who’ve had the opportunity to learn about the incredible impact of our work with United! This is a game changing partnership. Feeling inspired and grateful to spend time planning for our 2025 collaboration with some super exciting activations on deck and 900 eager students preparing to travel this summer!
