Today is Sanctuary Appreciation Day! Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) along with our friends at North American Primate Sanctuary Alliance and Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance founded this day to celebrate and recognize the incredible contributions of animal sanctuaries. Sanctuaries are the safety nets for animals who have nowhere else to turn. Ones who have been abused, neglected, experimented on, exploited and more. Their contributions to animal protection cannot be understated. The work is physically and emotionally challenging but so rewarding. Their ability to help animals transcend those dark histories is nothing short of heroic, and we hope you'll show them the love they deserve today and every day! From all of us, THANK YOU.
