Corporate and Trade Association Leaders met this week to address "Facilitating Sustainability Cultural Transformation." The discussion was led by GEMI's Co-Chairs Rebecca Hensley and Brooke Wynn, facilitated by Linda Brewer. The strategic discussion to lay the foundation for GEMI's working agenda for 2025 included a panel led interactive discussion that included Becky Hensley, CSX, Brooke Wynn, Smithfield and Bryan Kuppe, ACC. That discussion was followed by Andy Hoffman, Holcim (US) Professor of Sustainable Enterprise, Ross School of Business/School of Environment and Sustainable Enterprise, University of Michigan that addressed "The Curriculum of Business Education is Broken", and highlighted the key results of his year-long study at the Harvard Business School that culminated in the development of his new book "Business School and the Noble Purpose of the Market, Correcting the Systemic Failures that will be released in May of 2025. The results and recommendations coming from the discussion are now being developed into what will become a strategic roadmap for GEMI addressing opportunities to drive value through sustainability within corporations and trade associations.
