And turns out this unique HondaJet was extremely well taken care of while in government storage for the past 5 years! Engines were run every 30 days, cabin was locked and preserved, paint was well protected inside a hangar, and complete logbooks were kept safely in storage. This famous HondaJet is the best looking 2016 HondaJet we have ever seen! And as true testament to the reliability of the HondaJet, after sitting for over 5 years with no flight activity, this HondaJet made its debut ferry flight and flew all the way across the country from California to North Carolina without a single issue. Pretty impressive feat! It’s not every day that an aircraft listing gets noticed by our industry’s media, so I felt obliged to share. This truly unique HondaJet with a “Stormy” past has finally been released from government storage after almost 5 years, and is newly available for sale! The aircraft is actually in better condition than many other HondaJets on the market for sale right now, having been preserved in hangar storage and not experiencing any wear and tear in 5 years! Also as an update to the Russ Niles AVweb.com article, the aircraft is scheduled to fly to Honda Aircraft Company in just a couple of weeks to get airworthy again, all cleaned up and ready to be sold to its new owner. It has not flown in 5 years, but with the GE Honda Aero Engines having been run every month, and the fact that Honda Aircraft Company produces an extremely reliable and dependable aircraft, we are anticipating this HondaJet will make its way across the country from California to North Carolina without ending up AOG.
