Art has always created an opportunity for education, connection, and change, and it has enabled us to power our efforts in restoring our coral reefs. We are in the development of our first NFT Project! Our team is super excited about sharing the art, activating the community, and making change. Follow us on Twitter to get updates on our process, our thinking, and how our Genesis Launch will have real-world impact. #art #artcommunity https://lnkd.in/dhN6xqM3

Uniting art, science, and community to regenerate collapsing coral reef ecosystems. Let's save our oceans.
关于我们
Global Coralition unites art, science and community to regenerate collapsing coral reef ecosystems. Our mission is to empower local communities through sculptural reefs and land based coral farms to regenerate marine environments to help save our oceans. 25% of all marine life depend on coral reefs 97% of wave and storm energy is absorbed by coral reefs, protecting our delicate coast lines 1 billion people depend on coral reefs for food and livelihood New medicines for cancer, arthritis, viruses, and more are being discovered in our reefs each year Our vision is to launch a global movement where indigenous wisdom merges with scientific advances to rebuild our marine ecosystems, create new jobs, food security and healing for ecology and humanity together. - Through Science we utilize coral restoration techniques both in the ocean and on land. - Through Community we work closely with local youth, divers, fishermen, and government officials to help create job opportunities, food security, and education through conversation. - We use Art to help tell the story to Engage, Inspire, and Activate. Our team builds larger-than-life sculptures deployed into our oceans to come to ecotourism sites, marine protected areas and homes to the coral restoration sides. Coral reefs are some of the most vibrant ecosystems in the world, but they’re under threat. ?? When ocean temperatures rise and sunlight exposure increases, coral gets stressed and loses the tiny algae that live within it. These algae are not just responsible for coral’s color, but they’re also the coral’s main food source. Without them, corals turn white—a process known as bleaching. Bleached corals are weaker and more vulnerable to disease, which puts our reefs at serious risk. It’s time to act and protect these vital ecosystems for a healthier ocean. ?? #CoralReefs #OceanHealth #GlobalCoralition #ProtectOurOceans #CoralRestoration

Did you know that coral reefs are home to over 25% of marine life? Yet, they face critical threats. Here are a few ways you can make a difference and help protect these vital ecosystems: Reduce your carbon emissions to combat climate change. Every small effort counts. ? Support businesses that prioritize reef-friendly practices. ? Adopt a coral and contribute to its restoration and conservation. ? Practice safe and responsible diving and snorkeling to avoid damaging corals. Let's be part of the solution, not the problem! Together, we can protect the biodiversity of our oceans. #ProtectCoralReefs #MarineConservation #CareForThePlanet #oceanlove

Global warming is impacting coral reefs at an alarming rate. ??? The rise in ocean temperatures is leading to mass coral bleaching, putting these vital ecosystems at risk. Corals, which support marine biodiversity, lose their vibrant colors when stressed by heat, leading to a weakened state that threatens countless marine species. ?? Protecting our reefs means addressing climate change. Together, we can make a difference by reducing our carbon footprint and supporting sustainable practices. Let’s keep our oceans thriving

Why are mangroves more than just trees ? ? They provide a home for thousands of species, supporting rich biodiversity. ? They act as powerful carbon absorbers, helping to combat climate change. ? They serve as natural coastal fortresses, protecting shorelines from erosion and storms. Mangroves are essential ecosystems that go beyond their roots!

Coral Reefs are in Danger Our oceans are losing their vibrant corals every day. Coral bleaching occurs when the algae that provide nourishment and color to corals die, leaving the reefs pale and fragile. Without urgent action, we risk losing these essential ecosystems forever. Protect. Restore. Act now.

Coral restoration is more innovative than ever!Scientists and conservationists are using a technique called microfragmentation, which involves cutting large corals into tiny fragments about the size of a fingernail and placing them on specialized substrates. Why do they do this? Breaking corals into small pieces triggers a rapid growth response, helping them grow up to 50 times faster than they would naturally. ( So, corals that might take up to 25 vearsto mature can now reach adult sizes in a matter of months or a few years. This technique is revolutionizing the way we think about reef restoration! Every fragment is a step closer to reviving our reefs, creating more resilient ecosvstems and habitats for marine life. It's all about giving nature a little boost, so our oceans can thrive again.

An ocean in danger: The impact of plastic on our seas Every year, millions of tons of plastic end up in our oceans, accumulating in areas known as ocean turns, which already cover about 40% of the ocean surface. ???? These plastics not only damage marine life, but also pose a threat to human health and ecological balance. It's time to act: we must reduce our consumption of single-use plastics and look for sustainable alternatives to protect our oceans and their inhabitants. At Global Coralition , we are committed to environmental conservation and support initiatives for the restoration of marine ecosystems. ???? Together, we can make a significant difference in the fight against plastic pollution. #Sustainability #PlanetCare #CleanOceans #Environment #CircularEconomy #FultAgainstPlastic
